Ministry Bio

Rev. Cheryl “Adero” E. Allison, PhD

Rev. Dr. Adero (Cheryl) Allison was born and raised in Detroit Michigan by her parents Hugh and Gertrude Allison. She was baptized at a young age at Greater Christ Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Jacob C. Oglesby. Cheryl started in the music ministry at the age of twelve, playing for Sunday school and directing the children’s choir.

She has ministered in music and God’s Word in Michigan, Oregon and Arizona and has continued to serve the Lord throughout her adult life. Currently she serves as an Elder at Casa de Cristo Church and Apostolic Center in Phoenix, AZ. She and her wife  Janne Cardwell share in caring for and ministering to members of the LGBTQ+ and other disenfranchised communities.
